Relievers
Currently we have a full team of tutors, however always looking for relievers. Please fee free to contact the supervisor musicsupervisor@marshall.school.nz
You will be tutoring Individual and small groups of primary and intermediate level students on their instrument. Levels are from beginners to higher grade level. Students are encouraged to participate in performance groups at the school and also concerts mainly at the end of the year. Tutors are required to keep accurate records of students attendance and progress and prepare students for concerts and also exams if necessary.
Skills and experience
You will have a proficiency in your instrument of minimum Grade 8 level. Experience in teaching is preferred but not essential as training and support will be given to the right candidate. Police Vetting/Working with Children check is essential.

About the business and the role
Based in Mt Roskill, Auckland, Marshall Laing Music School operates After School and on Saturday mornings during school term time. We have a warm friendly and welcoming staff and community at our school supported by a supervisor and administrator. The school is a charitable trust with Ministry of Education funding and has been running for over 50 years.

MUSIC TUTOR VOLUNTEERS
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist in our classes on Saturday mornings.
Under the supervision of a qualified and experienced teacher this is a great opportunity to develop your teaching/tutoring skills
Teaching/Tutoring hours are normally 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday mornings.
Classes are held during school term time.
Must be proficient in your instrument to at least a Grade 5 level to volunteer.
