UKULELE TUTOR

Marshall Laing Music School is looking for a specialist Ukulele tutor to join our team on after school and /or Saturdays during school term time.
We are looking for inspiration and passion to teach a growing number of students at the school.
About the business and the role
Based in Mt Roskill, Auckland, Marshall Laing Music School operates on Saturday mornings during school term time between 8.30am and 12.30pm. We have a warm friendly and welcoming staff and community at our school supported by a supervisor and administrator. The school is Ministry of Education funded and has been running for over 50 years.

Job tasks and responsibilities
You will be taking a group of primary and intermediate level students as an all comers/and or auditioned choir. Students are encouraged to participate in performance groups at the school and also concerts mainly at the end of the year. Tutors are required to keep accurate records of student’s attendance and progress and prepare students for concerts if required.
Skills and experience
You will have a proficiency in your main instrument and appropriate performance/teaching qualification
Experience teaching is preferred although we do offer mentoring for the right person who is new to teaching.
Working with Children check is essential.

MUSIC TUTOR VOLUNTEERS
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist in our classes on Saturday mornings.
Under the supervision of a qualified and experienced teacher this is a great opportunity to develop your teaching/tutoring skills
Teaching/Tutoring hours are normally 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday mornings.
Classes are held during school term time.
Must be proficient in your instrument to at least a Grade 5 level to volunteer.
