Music Lessons at Marshall Laing Music School
The school provides Ministry of Education subsidised group music lessons for primary and intermediate age school students and a range of non-subsidised music lessons for all age groups.
Since 1963 our music school has been offering a range of instrumental tuition options, as well as the opportunity to gain ensemble and orchestral experience.
In 2018 the music school in conjunction with the primary school opened a new music classroom.
This has allowed the school to increase a range of options for children and adults to learn a music instrument.
We now offer group and individual music lessons in :
Guitar, Piano, Keyboard, Recorder, Violin, Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Trumpet, Trombone, Choir, Orchestra.
We hope to soon be offering:
Drums, Ukulele, Trombone and a Summer School. (Watch this space!)
Music lessons are held most Saturday mornings during the school term and after school currently on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The social and educational benefits of learning a musical instrument and participating in music-making are well documented.
