Terms & Conditions

Non-Subsidised Individual or Paired Classes
 

  1.  Standard Lesson Duration: 

  • Typically lasts for 30 Minutes for Individual or 40 minutes for Paired unless otherwise arranged.

  • If your child is enrolling into a paired class but there is no other student to fill the other spot, we may adjust this to a shorter 20 minute individual lesson.
     

  2.  Extended Lesson Option:

  • Longer lessons can be arranged upon request.
     

  3.  Invoicing and Payment:

  • Lessons are invoiced at the beginning of each school term.

  • Full payment is required before the term begins.
     

  4.  Late Payment:

  • If payment is not received by the due date, the school will contact you, and we reserve the right to suspend classes until payment is received.
     

  5.  Term Length:

  • The standard term is 9 weeks, but may be adjusted to account for public holidays that coincide with lesson days.
     

  6.  Cancellation Policy:

  • Written notice of cancellation must be provided at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the upcoming school term.
     

  7.  Student Absences:

  • There are no make-up lessons or refunds for any student absences. This is due to the fact that the school operates on a set number of weeks per year and still needs to pay tutors when a student is absent.

  • Please email the office if your child will be absent, preferably at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.
     

  8.  Refunds for school cancellation:

  • In the event that the school is unable to conduct a scheduled lesson on a particular day, it will be credited towards the next invoice or refunded.

  • Examples include Tutor absences, lockdowns, school emergencies & natural disasters.
     

  9.  Concerts/Performances:

  • Towards the end of school terms, the music school may hold concerts/performances on Saturdays during lesson times.

  • Students will be given the opportunity to perform if their tutors decide they are ready.

  • The music school considers this as part of a students development musically and opportunities will be given to all students to attend these performances regardless of whether they are performing or not.

Ministry Subsidised and Keyboard Group Classes
 

  1.  Lesson Duration:

  • Lessons typically last for 45 minutes (up to 7 students) or 30 minutes (up to 4 students)
     

  2.  Invoicing and Payment:

  • Lessons are invoiced on an annual basis at the beginning of the year.

  • Full payment is required before the Music School year begins
     

  3.  Number of weeks:

  • The standard number of lessons is 30 weeks of the year within school terms.

  • Adjustments may be made to account for public holidays that coincide with lesson days. 
     

  4.  Late Payment:

  • If payment is not received by the due date, the school will reach out to you, and we reserve the right to cancel the class until payment is received.
     

  5.  Student Absences:

  • There are no make-up lessons or refunds for any student absences.

  • This is due to the fact that the school operates on a set number of weeks per year and still needs to pay tutors when a student is absent. 

  6.  Cancellation Policy:

  • There are no refunds for cancellations once the Music School year has begun.​

  • Group lessons are an annual fee and still need to be paid in full, regardless of whether or not your child is still attending. 

  7.  Refunds for School Cancellation:

  • In the event that the school is unable to conduct a scheduled lesson on a particular day, a refund will be issued for the missed lesson.

  • Examples include Tutor absences, lockdowns, school emergencies & natural disasters.
     

  8.  Long-Term Absences:

  • Extended absences of 4 or more consecutive lessons without sufficient notice will be treated as a cancellation, and the space may be offered to another student.

  9.  Concerts/Performances:

  • Towards the end of school terms, the music school may hold concerts/performances on Saturdays during lesson times.

  • Students will be given the opportunity to perform if their tutors decide they are ready.

  • The music school considers this as part of a students development musically and opportunities will be given to all students to attend these performances regardless of whether they are performing or not.
