The guitar is a plucked string instrument, usually played with fingers or a pick. The guitar consists of a body with a rigid neck to which the strings, generally six in number, are attached. Acoustic guitars (and similar instruments) with hollow bodies have been in use for over a thousand years, so the guitar is a very old instrument, and is particularly linked with Spain.
Students need to have their own Guitars. Please speak to the school supervisor who may be able to assist in the purchase of an instrument.
The minimum age for Guitar lessons is 8 years of age.
Lessons: Each lesson is 45 minutes in length which allows time for tuning guitars at the start of class.
