- Keyboard 2018
February 10, 2018 - December 8, 2018
8:30 am - 12:30 pm
Our keyboard lessons provide a good introduction to learning and reading western musical notation. Keyboard lessons also provide a suitable background for those who wish to advance to piano lessons- perhaps private tuition or more concentrated one on one lessons post intermediate school. A keyboard sounds like the piano, but lacks its size and weight. You are advised to purchase a touch sensitive keyboard.
Lessons: Each lesson is 45 minutes in length with a maximum of 6 students
Class Times: Saturday mornings between 8.30 and 12.30pm
Level 1 and 2 classes are available early morning (8.30, 9.15), mid morning (10.15, 11.00) or late morning (11.45)
Level 3 and 4 classes please check with the school supervisor for specific times as this will depend on numbers enrolled.
Students will need to provide their own keyboard and a set of headphones for lessons.
Headphones are for sale at the music school office.
We recommend a 61 note keyboard (5 and a half octaves) with touch response.
The school is unable to hire keyboards. Please speak to the school supervisor who may be able to assist in the purchase of an instrument.
Once enrolled, the music school supervisor will allocate an appropriate time according to ability & level.
